Our district

Our district is essentially Industrial-Agricultural. Industry takes 55% of production. The most developed industries are: Mechanic Industry , Mineral Industry , Nutritive Industry and the Industry of Building . Agriculture takes 28.8% of production ,

83% of them takes the main plants like potato , maize , wheat etc.10% of them takes  fruit cultures and the remainder 7% of them viniculture.

 But the 16.2% of production takes the stock-breeding and in

our district rears essentially sheep, goat-herds and castles . Last years the reports of our district has changed a little in favor of agriculture and stock-breeding. The transportation is essentially overland and Kukes is the main door with Kosovo.

The watery transportation makes the contact our city with Tropoja's city. The district of Kukes has 14 communes and 1 town-hall. In the future our district will have also his airport and across him will pass Durres-Kukes-Prishtine autobahn.  Also   our district safeguards in special way  the rural traditions and habits  which takes the 70% of population and  in special way we safeguards popular clothing.
